The DCSB has been waiting for State approval of and the funding for the negotiated 20-21 Teacher Unit pay increases. While approval for increases to move forward has now been granted, funding for the increases will not be forwarded to the District until February 10th. Because of that date, monies cannot be processed by DCPS before the payroll cut-off date for the February 12th paycheck.
Teacher salary increases, therefore, have been scheduled to appear on the February 26th, 2021 paycheck. Retro money, back to July 1, 2020, will be included in the pay for February 26th. Retro for special assignments (summer school, curriculum writing, etc., during the summer) will be paid at a later date. The rest of the negotiated increase will be spread out among the remaining paychecks for the 20-21 school year.
