| February 24, 2025 To: DTU Para and UOPD Unit Members From: Tammie Brooks-Evans, President of DTU RE: Vacant Board of Directors Positions DTU has One (1) UOPD unit vacancy and three (3) para unit vacancies. Per the Constitution and By-Laws: Section 5. Should a vacancy occur among the offices of the Board of Directors Members, the Board of Directors members from the unit in which the vacancy occurs, shall elect an appropriate Board of Directors member from the Unit membership withing 30 calendar days. If interested in applying for the vacancy, please submit a letter of intent (Name, work position, contact Information, union experience, and why you wish to be considered for the position) by 5 pm on Friday, February 28, 2025. The current Board of Directors will review the letters on March 3, 2025, at the regularly scheduled meeting and elect new members to the Board of Directors. The elected members will finish the remainder of the 2022 – 2025 term, which extends through the end of the 2024-25 school year. The regularly elected members will start the new term starting June 15 ,2025 and they will serve the full three-year term (2025-2028). |
