Points of Interest: COVID Vaccination – DCPS Employee Email

March 4, 2021

Please see the email that went out to all DCPS employees this morning.

Employees,

A federal vaccination site has been opened in Jacksonville and is available for K-12 employees 50 years of age and older to receive a COVID-19 vaccine starting today. The location of the site is 5200 Norwood Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32209.  The site is open daily from 7 am – 7 pm and no appointment is necessary.

Site staff have advised us that they will be able to better accommodate K-12 employees daily during the hours of 7 am – noon.  We have therefore created a link below for you to notify us of the date/time you would like to receive your vaccine.  Please work with your principal on classroom coverage during the time of your vaccination appointment.  It is expected that employees receiving their vaccination during the preferred hours of 7 a.m. to noon will not experience a wait time.

Interested eligible employees should complete the link below and go to the vaccination site on the date/time they select.  We will notify site staff of the number of employees expected daily, but you will not receive a confirmation email.  Employees must be prepared to present their DCPS ID and government issued ID, as well as provide their full name, date of birth, address and phone number.

I understand that this is short notice, but we hope that our eligible employees will take advantage of this opportunity being provided to eligible employees.

Kind regards,
