Election to move from Grandfather Pay Salary to Performance Pay
On April 6, 2021, the Duval County School Board (DCSB) approved the attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between, DCSB and Duval Teacher’s United (DTU).
The MOU provides teachers, currently on the Grandfather Pay Salary Schedule, an opportunity to convert to the Performance Pay Salary Schedule. Once a teacher elects to convert to the Performance Pay Schedule, they will be required to remain on the Performance Pay Schedule and are not eligible to return to the Grandfather Pay Salary Schedule. Additionally, teachers voluntarily requesting to convert will permanently relinquish their Professional Service Contract (PSC) and be placed on an Annual Contract.
Any Grandfather Pay Salary teacher that is interested in converting to the Performance Pay Salary Schedule must complete the attached election form indicating their election. All changes will become effective July 1, 2021.
The election period will begin on April 7, 2021 and will end on May 30, 2021. Election forms received after May 30th will not be considered. Election forms should be completed and emailed to Human Resource Services at [email protected].
Grandfather Pay Salary teachers electing to remain on the Grandfather Pay Salary Schedule are not required to complete an election form.

Performance Based Pay Schedule Election Form for Professional Contract (PSC) Teachers
All Professional Services Contract (Grandfather Salary Schedule) teachers choosing to elect the Performance Pay Salary Schedule must complete this form indicating their preference effective the 2021-2022 school year and all subsequent years thereafter.
Please initial by the election.
