Technology Assistance & Elementary Work Packets

March 31, 2020

Technology Assistance: As we go into the second week of home learning, some employees are experiencing technical difficulties.  If you are having any technology issue the Help Desk is available to assist. They are available Monday through Friday 7 AM to 5 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  You can call them at 904-348-5200, you can also contact the Help Desk at http://servicedesk/ to get assistance over the phone or you can put in a work ticket for an appointment to get help starting Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Elementary Work Packets: The packets from weeks 1 and 2 can be emailed to the teacher or dropped off at the school.  Teachers should communicate with the parents on how each family plans on submitting completed work.   If packets are dropped off at the school the teacher will need to communicate with the principal to determine how the packets will be retrieved. You can consider a time for pick up or discuss the packets being scanned and emailed to the teacher.  Some families have been taking pictures of the completed work and emailing it directly to the teacher.  Everyone must be flexible as we work to find the most efficient and effective way for families to submit completed work.

The packets for weeks 3 and 4 will be prepared by the district and copied.  The packets will be available at the schools. Parents will be informed about the packets for weeks 3 and 4 as they did for weeks 1 and 2 for pick up and return.  Parents will be contacted through the phone messenger system or via email addresses that are on file.

We are asking everyone to be flexible as we continue to meet the needs of the students and families in our communities.  Please continue to check your emails regularly and visit the DTU website for updates at www.DTUJAX.com.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your staff consultant to get assistance.
