ATTENTION ALL DTU MEMBERS

The Duval County School Board on March 1, 2022, passed a resolution to ask voters on August 23, 2022, to approve a 1-mill increase in property taxes, mostly to give teachers and staff competitive pay increases and to improve arts and athletics programs for students.
The resolution has gone to the Jacksonville City Council, which has the role of formally placing it on the ballot.
The Jacksonville City Council will hear public testimony on:
April 12th– City Council Meeting
City Hall Auditorium
303 North Laura Street
6 PM
We are encouraging DTU members to wear RED and be present to show support for the resolution. If you can attend please try to arrive no later than 5:30 pm so you may get a seat in the Auditorium.

Currently the final vote is scheduled for April 26, 2022.
