Update: First Pay Check Date

Pay calendars for ten, eleven-month, and twelve-month DTU Unit (Paraprofessionals, Teachers,
UOPD) employees have been negotiated by DTU and the DCSB for the 2020-2021 school year.
All twelve-month and twelve-month alt. employee pay calendars are already in
place and twelve-month employees are already being paid on a bi-weekly basis.


The first electronic paycheck for 10 and 11-month employees is on August 14, 2020.
Paid hours for the first paycheck are reflected below by units. Pay amounts will be normalized
beginning on the second paycheck. Pay will occur every two weeks after the first
payday.


Please note: Employees were paid as if they started work on August 3, 2020, which
was the original start date. The employee start date was pushed to August 12, 2020.
There will be additional make up days throughout the year, as reflected on the draft
work calendar, that the employees will work to make up for the days of pay they
will receive for August 3 -7 on the August 14th check.


➢ All 12-month employees (Teacher Unit- (Psychologists/Specialists) and UOPD
Unit),- 261 days- a regular two-week check as they have already started their work
year.
➢ 12-month Psychologists, and Virtual Teachers (239 days), a regular equalized
check (Psychologists – 73.10 hours) and (Virtual Teachers – 67.0 hours)

➢ 10-month Psychologists – Traditional pay plan, a regular equalized check (70.0
hours)
➢ 10-month Psychologists – Optional pay plan, a regular equalized check (60.30
hours)


➢ 10-month Teachers, OT’s/PT’s and CDAs – Traditional pay plan, a regular
equalized check (64.15 hours)
➢ 10-month Teachers , OT’s/PT’s and CDAs – Optional pay plan, a regular
equalized check (55.25 hours)


➢ 10-month Job Share Teachers – Plan A and Plan B- a 3-day check with no
equalized pay

➢ Paraprofessionals – Traditional and Optional pay plan- a 5-day check with no
equalized pay (35 hours)


➢ 11-month Clerical – Traditional and Optional pay plan- an 8-day check
(Traditional 8 hour/day employees – 74.65 hours; 7 hour/day employee – 65.30
hours); (optional 8 hour/day employee – 71.60 hours; 7 hour/day employees – 62.75
hours)

➢ 10-month clerical – Traditional and Optional pay plan- a 5-day check with no
equalized pay (8 hour/day employee – 40.0 hours; 7 hour/day employee – 35 hours)
➢ 10 month Civil Service, School Security Guards- Optional pay plan, a 5 day
check with no equalized pay (40 hours)
➢ 10 month Interpreters and Job Coaches – Traditional and Optional pay plan, a 2
day paycheck with no equalized pay (14 hours)


Miscellaneous Deductions: includes union dues, credit union deductions, garnishments,
etc. will be deducted from all employees.

Benefit Deductions:
➢ Deductions for 12-month employees begin on the 07/31/20 payday
➢ Deductions for 11-month employees begin on the 08/14/20 payday
➢ Deductions for 10-month employees begin on the 08/28/20 payday
