SSS: Using Questions to Teach and Learn

Can students learn core concepts from any subject, practice listening, recalling time sequencing, the critical thinking skills as well as learn how to take notes?
The answer is “yes” find out how in this session.

One stated goal of schools is to promote critical thinking. Usually, teachers use questioning as the means of attaining this goal. However, questions may or may not promote critical thinking –
depending on the approach to questioning in the classroom. This session will re-frame the use of questions to improve students’ critical thinking skills. Come learn the difference between higher
order questions and deeper questions.

Participants will be expected to engage in reflection at the end of the session.
