C.A.S.T. Overview (Collaborative Assessment System for Teachers)

The Collaborative Assessment System for Teachers (C.A.S.T.) is the DCPS evaluation system for teachers that began in the 2011-2012 school year. It was developed from criteria identified from Senate Bill 736, also known as the “Student Success Act”. Participants in this learning session will be given information concerning C.A.S.T., the observation cycle and the value-added model.  C.A.S.T. measures and growth calculations will also be presented.
